    The Story Lab is looking for a Director, Content for a 13 Month Contract to work across brands on strategy, content development, implementation and measurement. The main accounts are automotive and CPG. This position will partner with planning and investment teams on all content related elements across clients including developing and executing a brand content framework and cultivating new content opportunities.  It is an integral role in providing creative insight, strategic and organizational insight to our clients continued innovation and expansion across all brand entertainment and content initiatives.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Overall vision and management of branded entertainment content initiatives on behalf of our clients
    • Develop content framework’s mapped to strategic audience insights based on set objectives, KPIs and brand strategies
    • Assist in the upstream development of content opportunities for consideration based on objectives and strategies set forth by Client and media brands
    • Create, scout, develop and negotiate new integration ideas that align strategically with client direction / launch plans and amplify media programs
    • Development of overall content plan including recommendation across Paid, Earned and Owned channels
    • Review proposals to identify value, define which elements need further details for evaluation and present ideas with clear recommendations
    • Establish and maintain positive relationship management with all clients, TV networks, movie/production studios, talent partnerships, vendors, etc. to build meaningful and rewarding programs that includes content expressed in the following ways -- original content, branded entertainment, integrations, social, and UGC
    • Assist in developing and executing activation plans (agency & client reviews) and extensions
    • Assist in the creative and production review / approval process – Internal, client
    • Development and execution of timelines, manage production schedules, adhere to deadlines, set up/organize internal/client meetings, ongoing team communication and meeting materials for program
    • Serve as cross-agency content liaison
    • Manage, develop and execute program metrics/recaps/summaries as dictated by agency/client guidelines and systems
    • Travel to oversee program success and support activation where necessary; ensure program needs are met
    • Ensure team process consistency and Story Lab/client quality assurance

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in working with several different organizations at a given time
    • Prior experience in content marketing, digital, PR, broadcast production services or related field
    • Ability to effectively and confidently communicate information in both verbal and written formats (Idea sell-in, activation decks, metrics, program recaps, client presentations, etc.)
    • Experience forming strong relationships with all clients, agency and partners/media personnel
    • Ability to address difficult issues, work under pressure and solve problems quickly in the face of challenges
    • Shows entrepreneurial spirit, lead and encourage new break-through ideas; team-oriented
    • Negotiation and conflict management skills
    • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to show flexibility, willing to work beyond regular business hours, a creative/quick thinker
    • Must be flexible to travel to events whenever necessary
