    POSITION MANDATE

    • Assist the LIVE team for a term of seven and a half months during the fifth, national tour of Rogers Hometown Hockey. The qualifying candidate will lead the activation on a multi-city tour, travelling coast-to-coast within Canada. The tour will stop each week in a different city and host a fan festival experience. The festival will include a live broadcast with Rogers personalities, NHL viewing party and various partner activations.  In this role, the candidate will ensure flawless execution of our partner activation, leading multiple activation elements and provide additional support to the Project Manager throughout the duration of the program.

    Responsibilities

    • Management of three coordinators, providing leadership, guidance and motivation
    • Management and execution of brand activations; including setup, execution, tear down & transportation logistics of event materials to and from each market
    • Ensure all event components are setup, tested and functional for consumer engagement prior to/ and during all event activations
    • Oversee and monitor activation staff (brand ambassadors, etc.) to ensure quality control of on-site activations
    • Ensure all staff roles are fulfilled and that brand messaging is communicated to event attendees
    • Manage project inventory throughout duration of activation tour; including activation equipment, collateral, prizing, giveaways, etc.
    • Act as the primary point of contact to ensure all project deliverables are fulfilled as required
    • Act as the on-site media liaison when necessary
    • Manage the preparation of event and program reports, including collection of on-site activation metrics for event-reporting purposes. Participate in weekly status calls with MKTG Manager, providing insights, recommendations, and key learnings based on past event executions
    • Administrative support including documentation of expense reports, travel logistics, etc.

    Qualifications

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Adept in software applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Post-secondary education with a business and/or sport management degree/certificate is preferred
    • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram
    • Sports Sponsorship, Marketing Agency or Promotional Marketing Experience is an asset
    • Experience in planning or execution of events is considered an asset
    • Experience in managing personalities is considered an asset
    • Knowledge of audio visual and technical equipment is considered an asset

     

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have valid G Driver’s License
    • Comfortable driving long distances and able to share driving responsibilities with other members of activation team
    • Assist with executing additional tier 1 events and activations
    • Ability to lift 50lbs+
    • Bilingualism is considered an asset
