    Vizeum is looking to bring on a Media Buyer for a 6 month contract to their ever growing Vancouver team. The Media Buyer is responsible for the execution of all planned media according to objectives & timelines. The media buyer works closely with the Media Planner / Buyer or Supervisor to provide up to date reports for clients and team members in terms of expenditures and performance. In-depth knowledge of the media market is key for the Media Buyer to provide recommendations to support strategic planning.

    Responsibilities

    Media:

    • Supporting supervisor on deliverables to client; aids in creation of media plans in line with briefed objectives and strategies
    • Creating and executing approved media buys
    • Managing day to day needs of media campaigns; ensuring buys are bought & input into media buying systems correctly and are delivering as planned
    • Ensuring quality of team buys are consistently in line with key planning metrics; CPPs, CPMs, reach, frequency etc
    • Assisting in feedback / POVs on media / Providing analysis and evaluation of media opportunities
    • Monitoring media coordinator & their work, training where necessary
    • Building relationship with key vendors, attending meetings, seminars when possible
    • Familiarity of AdTraq / EAS systems a plus but not essential

    Reporting:

    • Reviewing digital reports from Media Coordinator, adding insights
    • Providing analysis for Supervisor / Director feedback

    Research:

    • Indepth knowledge of key media tools – Lens, Comb, Comscore, FB planner, Airware, Facebook/YouTube set up

    Client Services:

    • Actively involved in supporting account needs directly with client or via support to Media Planner / Buyer in deliverables
    • Meeting client deadlines, responding to requests and anticipating needs

    Finance:

    • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding billing issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
    • Budget control support, updating BCR for Supervisor / Director review
    • Assessing invoices are in line with BCR for billing
    • Discrepancy resolution, supporting Media Coordinator to problem solve on any issues

    Qualifications

    • Min 2 years of industry experience in media buying
    • Knowledge of media roles and planning structures
    • Strong math and analytical skills; Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Interest in advertising & media buying
    • Strong organizational skills and project management; keeping multiple projects on-track, structuring and executing work. Deadline focused
    • Strong communication skills; Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications; Writes in a clear, compelling and concise manner
    • Inquisitive, participates in vendor meetings
    • Proactive problem solving / anticipating client / team needs​
    • “Can-do” attitude and proven ability to work in a team environment
