The purpose of this role is to lead the Operational Finance activities of Dentsu Aegis Network Canada. Manage the delivery of finance services in relation to the Media Bill Pay (MBP), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C) process towers with the local teams and BPO provider. Ensure coordinated focus on best practice, process & policy alignment as well as continuous improvement.


  • Manage the local teams and partner with the BPO provider to ensure delivery of agreed services into the market


  • Manage the changes of outsourcing scope, including the transition of new business units into Operational Finance, in collaboration with commercial finance and transformation colleagues


  • In conjunction with BPO provider and key stakeholders, design and implement appropriate governance forums to provide insight into process health with metrics and analytics


  • Drive consistency of deliverables from Operational Finance locations, as well as best practice into processes in scope


  • Initiating and driving continuous improvement ideas that arise from within the retained organization and the outsourcing service provider’s organization


  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities for improvement in the performance of the services


  • Maintain the highest levels of financial integrity ensuring compliance with group and regional policies and legal requirements


  • Oversee internal/external audit for the market


  • Build a high performing team ensuring development in line with DAN values


  • A chartered accountant qualification / CPA or equivalent with a strong financial background


  • 10+ years’ experience in general accounting and/or finance, including at least 5+ of which is directing the accounting and/or finance function and managing staff


  • Experience in a media/advertising industry


  • Experience in working with / effectively managing external BPO providers to ensure highest standards of customer service


  • Knowledge of accepted accounting principles and practices


  • Knowledge of auditing principles and practices


  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations


  • Demonstrate and utilize strong analytical skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment


  • Advanced Excel capabilities


  • Fluent English and French language skills
