Reporting to the Director of Production, the SEO Team Lead is responsible for guiding the team of SEO specialists and analysts, managing the execution of mandates whether on onsite or linkbuilding actions and finally, maintains consistent quality in the various deliverables produced by the team. The SEO Team Lead will work with multiple departments to support the smooth execution of mandates by ensuring that they are innovative, meet our quality standards, and achieve business objectives as well as provide client visibility. As SEO Team Lead, you must also cultivate a stimulating and positive work environment for your team members as well as your colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support and supervise a team of specialists and Senior Analyst in SEO;
  • Plan with the production planning manager, to manage and implement the SEO mandates of the agency whether it is on onsite mandates (intervention on the client site) or on the Linkbuilding mandates for the agency’s clients;
  • Participate in the various tenders of the agency and support the national sales team to recommend the relevant SEO strategies.
  • Ensure a good balance of tasks and workload within the team and set up an optimal structure for high performance results according to production needs;
  • Be responsible for the production deliverables and ensure that they meet the standards established with the product managers and the production manager;
  • Offer coaching and mentorship to team members through weekly individual and team meetings, recurring meetings, semi-annual assessments and set goals for team members who will be routinely supervised;
  • Support and mobilize the team and the objectives of the company;
  • Be responsible for identifying production capacities and hiring needs;
  • Manage disciplinary actions and the hiring of new employees in conjunction with human resources;
  • Collaborate closely with teams of different areas of expertise within the production department in order to propose and implement more effective actions in order to produce greater client satisfaction;
  • Continually support the Client Service Department in the reflection and implementation of the agency's SEO mandates;
  • Work closely with product managers to propose and implement innovative solutions that will directly influence the results of SEO mandates;
  • Advise and help team members in their professional development;
  • Manage and optimize internal production standards;
  • Challenge and implement requests from iProspect management that have an impact on the SEO department;
  • Coordinate with other production teams to meet the organization's overall production needs.

Qualifications

Required experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a team lead role is required;
  • The ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the SEO field;
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • Solid mastery of SEO technicalities (Technical, Semantic, Linkbuilding)
  • Technical mastery of web development languages ​​is highly appreciated;
  • Solid digital marketing knowledge and experience (PPC Strategies, Social Media, Web Analytics, Mobile Marketing and Conversion Optimization);
  • Experience with digital marketing tools such as Google Trends, Keyword Planner, Screaming Frog, AWR, MOZ, SEMRush, and others;
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics is highly recommended.

  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills; sense of organization and team spirit
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be resourceful and enjoy navigating in an autonomous and result-oriented environment;
  • Must be detail oriented and show strong analysis and time management skills;
  • Ability to position him or herself as a technical leader and be able to manage client communication without the intervention of the Client Service team;
  • Must be able to analyze data and provide specific recommendations;
  • Ability to contribute to and demonstrate leadership in new initiatives on industry topics.
