    MKTG Canada, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, is a global lifestyle marketing agency – comprised of pioneers and practitioners of sponsorship consulting and live branded experiences across the world of sports, entertainment, arts and cause is seeking a Strategic Planner to join our Strategy Team.  In this role you will work across MKTG’s client roster, helping to develop market leading strategies that will enable our clients to achieve their business and brand objectives via sponsorship. The Strategic Planner will also play a supporting role helping to develop and implement business strategies for the agency, devoting approximately 20% of their time towards thought-leadership and business development. 



    80% Time – Strategy Consulting:

    • Play a leading role on client project teams for high-priority special projects
    • Build presentations and documentation that articulate recommendations
    • Thorough understanding of the brand, culture, the consumer and the marketplace
    • Distill complex information into simple yet intelligent stories and deliver it in an engaging and inspirational manner
    • Translate brand insights into clear and inspiring creative briefs and fuel the creative process
    • Provide a strong and informed point of view on how the brand should behave and capture opportunities for growth that exist in the market
    • Lead both internal and client presentations
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of how the client’s business operates and the motivations of the various stakeholder


    20% Time – Agency Operations:

    • Provide editorial oversight over MKTG’s published thought leadership content
    • Support on business development process


    • 2-4 Years Work Experience (entry-level candidates will not be considered for this role)
    • Experience in Consulting, Strategic Planning, or Brand Management role considered an asset
    • Candidates must demonstrate understanding of core marketing concepts
    • Passionate about sponsorship, marketing and communications
    • Ability to package information in clear, concise and impactful ways
    • Excellent at summarizing and making complex information accessible
    • Undergraduate degree in Business or Communications preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Shortlisted candidates will be asked to participate in a case study interview process
