We are currently seeking a Supervisor to join our Activation & Events team.


At MKTG the Activations and Events team creates market leading activations and consumer experiences that allow our clients to connect with their target market, leveraging their passion points in highly engaging and meaningful ways. Notable programs/activations have included Tangerine’s Community Gym and UNITY Festival activations, Canada Bread’s Global Energy Race, and all Scotiabank activations including the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, NHL Centennial Classic, NHL Winter Classic, NHL Faceoff events, NHL All Star Games, Rogers Hometown Hockey, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada and Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest.
In this role you will oversee the Activations + Events team ensuring flawless project delivery of the utmost quality, leading to our clients executing exciting and positive consumer experiences.


  • Oversee department Managers and Coordinators who will be directly reporting to this position; provide ongoing support to team through measurable plans. Deliver performance and development reviews

  • Build & manage internal project processes for client programs including, but not limited to, project deliverables, run sheets and critical paths.

  • Drive the execution of all client projects, including work provided by other functional teams & monitor progress on all projects ensuring on-site look and feel of all events

  • Partner with the Consulting Team to ensure clients’ strategies are brought to life through focused activations

  • Proactively identify any issues and solutions and make decisions to keep things on track. Ensure appropriate sign-offs are secured internally and with the client

  • Provide project status updates and next steps during weekly internal and client status meetings 

  • Develop compelling concept decks that highlight activations that deliver against client strategy and measurable objectives

  • Prepare executive briefs for SVP, COO and CEO as needed for all activations and events.

  • Compile comprehensive post-event reports that provide detailed metrics and offer insightful key learnings and recommendations


  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related field of study. Degree/certificate in Sports Management would be considered a valuable asset  
  • Minimum of 5 years' of relevant work experience in Sports Sponsorship / Marketing combined with at least 3 years' of experience in a people leadership role
  • High level of proficiency with digital marketing trends & technology
  • Ability to set priorities and focus time on what’s important; Can thrive under strict timelines while multi-tasking on numerous projects
  • Comfortable building and maintaining internal & external relationships based on trust, commitment, delivering above expectations and unsurpassed service even in difficult situations
  • Ability to communicate ideas & thoughts clearly, concisely and articulately both in writing and verbally
  • Capacity to adapt and be flexible to changing internal and client needs
  • Proven ability to manage programs successfully to meet deadlines, goals, budgets
  • High level of effectiveness and efficiency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Results oriented with laser focus on execution
