Vizeum is  looking for an exceptional Communications Planning Supervisor to join their team to help drive the vision for an exciting beverage client.

 

In this role you will be accountable for the planning, implementation and tracking of media plans.  You will partner with the Manager, Media Planning, as well as the rest of the team, to set the strategic tone for the assigned accounts.   Your focus will be to drive forward unique creative visions and partner with cross functional agency teams to develop an integrated communications approach.  

Responsibilities

Media Planning and Execution: 

  • Accountable for best-in-class media planning, including innovative thinking and flawless execution
  • Lead the process of strategic media planning/execution and serve as a mentor for other team members
  • Demonstrate ability to utilize resources to help guide client’s marketing goals in their respective markets (syndicated, proprietary, analyst data)
  • Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients’ media strategies
  • Maintain relationships with media community; develop vendor relationships for exchange of ideas
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate the vision of the Dentsu Aegis Network
  • In combination with the Network’s trading team, provide oversight and stewardship of all media placements

 

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at appropriate levels
  • Be seen by clients as an expert in media
  • Manage day-to-day expectations of clients and deliverables under extremely tight timelines
  • Accurately represent the client’s point of view when reviewing work, leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
  • Capable of effectively managing up and down the reporting structure
  • Work collaboratively with other team members in a full-service environment
  • Mentor, motivate and develop direct reports

 

Strategic Thinking & Leadership

  • Provide and/or guide strategic input for all plans internally and externally
  • Demonstrate problem solving and intervention when necessary
  • Understand and analyze the root causes of problems and develop ways to rectify
  • Guide and assist staff to arrive at potential solutions to problems/issues
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
  • Construct and deliver accurate, honest and timely performance management documents

Qualifications

You must be ready to take on a lot of responsibility, work hard, learn a lot, and drive big results. 
 
The Communications Planning Supervisor will display a mastery of media fundamentals, including experience across offline and digital.  The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment is a must. 
 
Additional elements required for success:  

- 5+ years of expereince in the industry, preferrably with experience in Food & Beverage, CPG or Alcohol 

- Experience developing media strategies to align with and deliver on the goals of a campaign.
- Innovative and creative thinking balanced with pragmatism (fresh, big-picture thinking) 
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written  
- Ability to think and perform both tactically & strategically
- Drive for results in prioritized manner (balanced sense of urgency)
