The Financial Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.



  • Review monthly revenue and expenses for accruals
  • Review first pass reporting and analytics as prepared by Finance outsource team
  • Provide in depth analytics and commentary on financial results vs forecast
  • Review bank reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and other reporting templates  prepared by the Finance outsource team
  • Monitoring of all reporting deliverables (monthly actuals & forecasts, YE and QE supplementary packs, IT additional information requests), ensuring timely submission in line with deadlines
  • Liaise with business unit Commercial Finance team for budget & forecast
  • Working capital monitoring and cash forecast
  • Monitor outstanding intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Assist in government tax audits; internal/external financial audits
  • Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
  • Responsible for appropriately escalating issues to Controller
  • Other ad-hoc projects;

  • Support Controller in preparing and delivering work to colleagues and vendors
  • Respond to requests for information quickly and accurately
  • Engages with all work-related contacts in a professional and respectful manner
  • Establish strong internal relationships with agency personnel

  • Assess problems and concerns in a systematic, logical and rational manner
  • Proactively resolve issues, know when to and to whom to escalate
  • Provide guidance to team members nurture/promote team environment
  • Assist in the training of junior team members
  • May be responsible for constructing and delivering accurate, honest and timely performance management documents
  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables and ability to seamlessly transition among them

 Communications Skills:

  • Expresses oneself clearly and concisely in oral communications
  • Writes in a clear, compelling and concise manner
  • Organizes ideas and information logically and sequentially
  • Develop reports that are clear, compelling and persuasive


  • CPA certification is required
  • 4+ years of financial & reporting experience
  • Thorough understanding of the financial process
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Thrives in a fast pace, constantly changing environment
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
